What Obsidian uses, bottled for shops
A pro-series chemical line, drawn from what our detailers use on customer vehicles at Obsidian Detail Studios and packaged for other shops. Formulations and packaging are still in development. It launches in 2026.
Every bottle starts in the bay
Obsidian Detail Studios, our own shop, has paying work on the calendar in Baltimore and Towson. Since 2023 that bay has settled on a shelf of chemicals our detailers reach for on a customer's paint and interior without having to think about it. Obsidian Products is that shelf.
The shelf came first and the line comes out of it, not the other way around. Nothing gets bottled for another shop until our own detailers have used it on a customer's car. We hold our software to the same rule.
We fund the work ourselves, out of the companies already running. That is how every company we start gets paid for.

Nothing sold before it exists
We do not pre-sell products that do not exist. That rule is written into our approach, and on this page it means you will not find a pre-order form or a price. There is nothing to ship yet, so we are not taking anyone's money for it.
Until then the only place this shelf gets used is on customer cars in our own bay. When there is product in hand we will say so here, and our holdings page will change with it. If you run a shop and want to hear when it launches, say so through the contact form. It comes to our founder, like every message on this site.
When it ships
Leave a message through the form. Once the line has something to ship, the owners who asked will hear about it. In the meantime the bay it comes from is taking bookings.
