Window cleaning, sold as a route
Residential and commercial window cleaning, run on the booking and follow-up systems behind our detailing companies. It launches in 2026. Booking opens then, not before.

Same business, new trade
Window cleaning is a different job from detailing. The company underneath it is built like the one we have run since 2023.
A window cleaning company has the same moving parts as a detailing company. Someone finds the business, asks what it costs, gets booked, gets the glass done, then either comes back or drifts off. Clean glass is the part everyone expects. The business gets lost on the quote that sat unanswered, and on the customer who was happy with the work and never heard from anyone again.
Those two problems are what we have been working on inside Obsidian Detail Studios since 2023, and what we hand to other detailers through Scale Detailing. The software for both is OmniScale. We wrote it for Obsidian, and that shop's paying customers still move through it today.
Onyx takes that outside detailing for the first time. The work on the glass is new to us. Finding the customer and keeping them is not. The dirt comes back on its own. The customer only comes back if someone asks, and asking is what the follow-up is for.

The glass will get dirty again. The customer will already be on the calendar.
A one-off cleaning has to be sold all over again every time the glass gets dirty. A route customer is different. The next visit is on the calendar before anyone has to pick up the phone, at a house or at a commercial building. That customer is who Onyx is built for.

Settled before the first job
Locked in before Onyx takes a booking. Everything else gets built to fit.
Two lanes
Homes and commercial buildings, both in the plan from day one, with one set of systems behind them.
A route
What Onyx sells is a place on a route. The glass gets done on a set schedule and the customer stays booked between visits, so a home or a building only has to be won once.
OmniScale
Booking, follow-up and reviews run on the software that sits under Obsidian and under our Scale Detailing partners. It has carried Obsidian's bookings since 2024, and a partner shop goes on the same build.

The other way in
We are building Onyx ourselves, from nothing. If you already run a window cleaning business and want a partner, or want out, that is a conversation we are open to.
The partner page spells out what we look for: you still run the business, there are customers on the schedule, and since window cleaning is not detailing, it is a Mid-Atlantic business. A window cleaning company that fits gets a close look.
A partner deal means we come in alongside you. A sale means you hand it to people who run what they own. You do not have to know which one you want before the first message. We start with a call. Then we go through the numbers together and work out a structure, at whatever pace suits you. Nothing about the business or its numbers leaves that conversation.

Ask about Onyx
There is nothing to book yet. If you have a question about the launch, or you run a window cleaning business and want to talk about partnering or selling, use the form. It lands with our founder, and he is the one who writes back.
